morning update 1/24/2007....

"Nothing new to report" were the words from Dr. Youngs mouth this morning. Dads ICP was standing around 17-21 thru this morning. His CPP number has been around 80. These are where the doctor would like them. Dr. Young said that they would run another CT scan today to see if there is any change, so we will wait. Mom didn't get a whole lot of sleep last night, but is managing well. More to come after the CT scan...

My dearest Sue(and family),I just found about Jim yesterday from Maureen and my heart just aches for you and your family.I know Jim has struggeled for awhile with his pain from his back.I can't imagine the patience it has taken him over the years to cope with his injuries.I can relate, but to have this ongoing pain for your life takes inner strength.I know he has the strength to get through another obstiacle. We(Robb and I)have had the honor of getting to know Jim quite well. He worked on our house a year ago last fall. Robb and I just loved hearing all of Jim's stories, I could have listened for hours...and sometimes We did! What a great family you have, lean on eachother and your faith and you will get through this. Our love and prayers are with you all at this time. Let us know if we can help in any way.

My Dear Sister and Family,
This poem reminds me of you Sue and your deep roots in the Lord; unshaken, strong and everlasting. I hold all of you up in prayer throughout each day. I'll see you Friday.
" The Oak Tree"
A mighty wind blew night and day.
It stole the oak tree's leaves away.
Then snapped its boughs and pulled its bark
Until the oak was tired and stark.
But still the oak tree held its ground
While other trees fell all around.
The weary wind gave up and spoke.
"How can you still be standing, Oak?"
The Oak replied:
"I know that you can break each branch of mine in two,
Can carry each leaf away,
Shake my linbs, and make me sway.
But I have roots stretched in the earth. Growing stronger since my birth.
"You'll never touch them, for you see, They are the deepest part of me.
Until today I wasn't sure
of just how much I could endure.
But now I've found, with thanks to you I'm stronger than I ever knew."

With our Lord as our deepest roots we can endure and be strong sheltered in His loving arms.

Sue, Jason and family;
Our hearts and prayers go
out to all of you.
We are in Florida for the winter,
so can not be there to help.
We are glad, however, that our
daughter, Carin Monteith, has
been a big help to you.

because He cares for you."

Dear Sue, Jason, Andy, Anna, Joe, and the rest of the Maley family,

Please know that you all are in our hearts and prayers now and always. Jim brings nothing but a comforting smile to our face when we think of the last time we saw him. Though we live with several hundreds miles between us, the friendship that our family has had with yours for over thirty years is a true gift that is to always be treasured. You continue to be in our thoughts and prayers as we lift each of you up to our loving God. Sue, we are praying Jim will open his eyes to see you, but even with his eyes closed he KNOWS that you are right there. We pray God will continue to uphold and strengthen you each moment and that there will be sweet sweet moments of loving each other and knowing God's very close presence.
