morning update 01/25/2007...

"Still very critical but stable"...There hasn't been a huge change from yesterday. We spoke with Dr. Young this morning who gave us the results of the CT scan...he said that there was no huge change...no change worthy of going back in right now and removing more blood or brain matter. He reminded us that this is a long road, "a marathon, not a sprint", to be patient and keep hope. As we are on the sixth day, our bodies are wearing, stress levels go up and patience wears thin. Please continue to pray for endurance. Pray that mom will stay healthy. Continue to pray for healing for dad...pray that the intercranial pressure (ICP) will go down dramatically. Again we want to thank all of you for supporting our family in all the many ways that you have. We couldn't stand without all of your support. Your prayers for us are definatly being felt! We love all of you and hope to update you more later.

Hi Guys,

My name is Carrie David and I live in Moultrie, GA. I heard about your Dad from Sara (Leeka) Craft. She is a precious girl and clearly loves your family. Me and my husband, Chad are praying for your family. May God be glorified!

Hi guys! I'm just sending my thoughts, love and prayers your way once again. Hearing about Kade's salvation is proof to me that our God has a purpose in all of this. His ways are higher than our ways, his thoughts higher than ours...What a might God we serve!!

Mom & Dad send their love!

Good Morning My precious Family,

I know the waiting is heart wrenching, tiring and stressful, but please know your family and friends are upholding you every minute of every day. God's will WILL be accomplished in Jim, in you and in us to HIS glory and our good. Hang in there! I'll see you tonight.

Sue and family,
You remain in our thoughts and prayers as you walk through these very difficult days. Be sure to take time to rest when you can, and know that God is holding you close to Himself with each moment..as he is Jim. Our prayer for all of you is "the peace that passes all understanding."

Dear Sue and all the family,

I have been reading daily all the bloggs and have been keeping up with things through Dad and Norene. We are praying constantly for Uncle Jim and all of you. The children have you all in their prayers everynight. They ask lots of questions and wonder on the updates. I know that this is a very tough time right now, both emotionally and physically. The Lord works many wonders and He has a plan for Uncle Jim. Miracles do happen and Matt's mom is one of them. The brain aneurysm she had a few years ago should have taken her life, but it was not her time. She went through many ups and downs with her brain and the ICP's during that time, also. The doctors and staff there are good. That is where she was when she went through her ordeal. Uncle Jim is in good hands, especially God's.

I just want all of you to know that you are in our prayers and thoughts constantly. God is good, and I know that no matter what, we know where Uncle Jim stands with the Lord and I am happy for that. I know the feeling of the wants that we have as humans, to just have more time, one more minute, one more hour, one more day, etc. I pray that that is Gods will for Uncle Jim. He's tough and a fighter, I know that he will not give up easily.

We love you all!

God Bless,
Sharon

2 yrs ago I fought for my life, also, and was on a ventilator for several days. Through all the sedation I somehow knew, without a shadow of a doubt, the presence of MY LORD and that HE was with me. Like you, my family says that the "waiting room" is a very trying place...but that OUR LORD sends just the right people at the right time.

I have know Jim for many years. The men in the Friday morning Men's group are praying.

Last week during my devotions and prayer, I sensed strongly the PRESENCE of the Holy Spirit...and HE tapped my shoulder and told me to pray for JIM. This I have and will continue to do.

Ephesians 3:20 " Now glory be to God! By his mighty power at work within us, he is able to accomplish infinitely more than we would ever dare to ask or hope"
