update from the great white north...

things are much the same today in the icu. the doctor said that we are basically in a waiting period until thursday when the trach will be done. dr. young agreed that the trach could be done as long as dad's neck isn't moved. all of dad's vitals are good and he is occasionally awake. the tube seems to be really aggravating dad, causing him to gag and cough quite a bit.

we do not expect to have any news to update you with until after thursday 6:00 p.m. when the trach is done, so don't be concerned if you do not see anything before then. thanks for your continued prayers. stay warm :)

We're thankful for the improvement, and we'll be praying for the procedure on Thursday. You are all in our thoughts and prayers.

My sweet family,

I know as time goes on feelings of frustration, helplessness and anxiety for the future will occur. Please remember that you are only called by God to love, be faithful and obey and you have done those things abundantly. All other things are for God to handle. Isn't it wonderful that he relieves us of the bonecrushing burden of "fixing" things.

Jim couldn't be in better hands than God's whose way is perfect. He always does what is best for us even if we don't understand it.

As we celebrate Valentines Day today just remember I love you all so much and God loves you with a love we can't even fathom.

In my heart and in my prayers,

Patty
