update from this morning...

In the past 1.5 hours, dads temp has gone back up to 98.5. This is good...but another issue has arisen. Dads ICP level is back up. They are reducing his Fentinol and giving him morphene instead. This could be the reason for the elivated ICP and blood pressure but unsure. The word "sepsis" was used in the conversation with the doctor this morning, but it was more of a "possibility" of the reason for the temp drop but not an absolute. The chances of sepsis being the reason for the temp drop is slim and more likely due to the medications that he is on. This is one of the reasons they are reducing some of the meds. This ride is such an emotional roller coaster! Please continue to pray, and write! We love all of you! More to come...

Hi Sue and Family,

Our prayers will continue.
I got home from a trip yesterday and at dinner, our 3 year old blew us away. I hadn't been home in a few nights, and the first prayer out of her mouth was for Mr. Maley and his family. What a Holy Spirit thing ! Very humbling.

Matthew 21:16:

16"Do you hear what these children are saying?" they asked him.
"Yes," replied Jesus, "have you never read,
" 'From the lips of children and infants
you have ordained praise'[a]?"

I'm so sorry that you have to experience the gamut of emotions that comes with a very sick loved one...especially someone normally so full of life..in the medical realm,so many things overlap and can cause similar symptoms, and as health care professionals we have to "overreact" to make sure we cover all bases...at the end of the day, "lean not on your own understanding"...and fully trust the ONE who has all resources at HIS disposal, and who has only GOOD in mind for you and your precious family..I know it is so draining for you, and we truly appreciate your efforts to keep us updated when it is so painful..rest in the knowledge that we are constantly bathing you and your family in prayers, day and night..I'm sure your dad's caregivers are very touched by the love your family has for one another..you are a constant and faithful witness ,we love you, the Sommers

Ps 27:13-14
"I would have despaired unless I had believed that I would see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. Wait for the Lord; Be strong and let your heart take courage: Yes, wait for the Lord."

Is 46:4
"Even to your old age, I shall be the same, And even to your graying years I shall bear you! I have done it, and I shall carry you; And I shall bear you, and I shall deliver you."

step by step

Child of my love, fear not the unknown morrow, dread not the new demand life makes of thee: Thy ignorance doth hold no cause for sorrow since what thou knowest not is known of me.

Thou canst not see the hidden meaning of my command, but thou the light shall gain: walk on in faith, upon my promise leaning, as thou goest, all shall be made plain.

One step thou seest--then go forward boldly, one step is far enough for faith to see: Take that, and thy next duty shall be told thee, for step by step thy Lord is leading thee.

your Christian friend

Stand not in fear they adversaries counting, dare every peril, save to disobey: thou shalt march on, all obstacles surmounting, for I the strong, will open up the way.

Wherefore go gladly to the task assigned thee, having my promise, needing nothing more than just to know, wher'er the future find thee, in all thy journeying I go before!

O LORD, you have searched me and you know me. YOu know when I sit and when I rise: You discern my going out and my lying down:
You are familiar with all my ways.

How precious to me are your thoughts Oh God!
How vast is the sum of them!
Were I to count them, they would outnumber the grains of sand.
When I awake, I am still with you.
from Ps 139

I don't know your family personally, however, I have heard your story through our MOPS group (Lynnetts' group) I have been drawn to this site, just to check on your loved one.
Please know you are in my prayers as you wait for God's perfect healing for Jim. His timing is not ours, and that is so frustrating, but we know He is able, and we can cling to that truth.
I have been so blessed by your famiy's testimony, and love for Christ and each other.
Jeremiah 29:11

Dear Sue and precious family,

This verse has come to mean so much to Ken and me. We memorized it when we taught our first Crown Financial class. Now it is our favorite verse, our life verse. Please tell Jim that we are praying for him and give him our love. We will continue to ask God for His healing and provision for all of you.

Thanks so much for the updates. We really appreciate.

With our love,

Rosa and Ken Liston

I just read this quote and thought it was so profound to think upon that I wanted to share it with you all as an encouragement. If you know anything about Hudson Taylor it takes on a whole new meaning.

"All our difficulties are only platforms for the manifestation (or indication) of His grace, power, and love."

- Hudson Taylor

Michael & I are continually praying for you all.

Kelli, Sue & all,
All of my prayers are still there every day, several times a day, he'll pull through. I'm praying for the moment he opens his eyes and is able to tell you how much he loves you all and for that time that he'll be able to come home. God creates miracles and fantastic things, that's what I'm praying for. Even though you can't excite his brain, I'm sure he knows that your all there, loving him and praying for him. My best friend Kel, call if you need anything at all. Love you so much,
Carol
