post from mom....

Dear Family, Friends and all of those who have lifted us in prayer

My heart is so full and so empty at the same time. Is that possible? This is a journey that is not familiar. I’m not sure how to do this. Thankfully, God the Father already knew this and gave all of you to me to help me find my way through it. There aren’t words that fully describe how thankful we all are to all of you for your prayers, food, notes, calls, emails, aspirin, blankets, bedding, numerous offers of help, babysitting, errands, etc. Everyone should be so loved.

Please know that Jesus has wrapped his loving arms around us and his angels to hold us up, through you. It is true,
It is “peace that passes all understanding”.

Jim would be so amazed about all of this fuss over him. But my darling husband would feel so loved. I am keeping a visiting journal of all who have stopped by and we will print out the blog messages to put with them. He will be so encouraged and blessed.

I have the greatest kids. They are strong, loving, protective of Jim and I and each other. Please pray for their hearts and physical stamina through this. Their faith is strong and they have given their father to our heavenly father but pray for more time with him.

Keep praying. If I can ask for a personal request that would make me feel so much better it would be this. I want to see my husband’s eyes and know he knows I am here.

Thank you all….and may God get the glory for all he is doing and may each and everyone of you be blessed for you love and kindness to us at this time and many others in our lives.

Sue-
I know we have all read this poem (below) so many times in our lives, but it is something that constantly reassures me that my Father is always near.
I am so very blessed to call all of you my family. I have been so encouraged and amazed to watch how this family has come together in the midst of these trials. What an awesome testimony for my children to see!
And once we see those wonderful piercing eyes of Jim’s open, how very blessed he will be to know you have been there the whole time waiting…and how awesome to tell him by this trial came his grandson (Kade) accepting Jesus as his personal Lord and Savior! God will never cease to amaze me…
Stay strong and never give up hope…
Love you dearly-
april

FOOTPRINTS
One night a man had a dream that he was walking along the beach with the LORD. Across the sky flashed scenes from his life. For each scene, he noticed two sets of footprints in the sand; one belonging to him, the other belonging to the LORD.
When the last scene of his life flashed before him, he looked back at the footprints in the sand. He noticed that many times along the path of his life there was only one set of footprints, and that it happened at the very lowest and saddest times in his life...
This really bothered him and he questioned the LORD about it. "LORD, you said that once I decided to follow you, you'd walk with me all the way. But during the most troublesome times in my life, there is only one set of footprints. I don't understand why when I needed you most you would leave me."
The LORD replied, "My precious, precious child. I love you and I would never leave you. During your times of trial and suffering, when you see only one set of footprints, it was then that I carried you."

Sue and family,

I know Jim's pressures and numbers have gone up. However! He did not have nany neuro changes with the pressures going up. This is good. Jim is "tolerating" the increase in pressure. As long as they can continue to keep that pressure within "normal" limits and he does not have neuro changes, he is doing good.

Keep praying, my heart goes out to all of you. I know how hard this is for you guys to go through. Just know you are very loved and God is standing over Jim every second and in control of everything! He will heal him! I have personally seen so many miracles happen. He is truely amazing.

Sue, you probably don't remember me but I can relate to all you are going through as I had similar experiences years ago with my first husband. Your testimony of God's love and care for your family during this very difficult time in your life blessed me. I remember having Andy as a student and how delightful he was. We are praying for you all, Marilyn White Petrie

Dear Sue, Jason, Andy, Anna & Joe: It is so hard for me to believe it has been 30 years that your mom and dad and I have been friends. I feel as if I am adopted mother to all of you kids. Jim has been like a big brother to me all these years and the best male friend a woman could ask for. Through all the trials and tribulations that your family has gone through over the years, your faith in God has been the sustaining constant in all of your lives. Though I live in Florida I try to remain close to your mom and dad and I pray that God's will be done and through it all that his love for you and your family is a witness that many will not be able to deny. I love you all and will continue to pray for all of you.

It is hard for me to belive that it has been over 30 years since I first met your mom and dad. I feel like your adopted mom as I watched you all grow up with Bill & Julie and go to school and church together.

Through all the trials and tribulations that I have seen your family experience, God has always been the sustaining constant in your lives.

I pray that God's will be done and that he will uphold you with strength and love that many will come to know the Lord through this experience!

I love you all! Give Jim a kiss from his "little sister"!

Dear Sue,

Psalm 9:10 says that those who know your name will trust in you, for you, Lord, have never forsaken those who seek you.

You, Sue, have been a constant witness to me and many others of someone who seeks after the Lord with all her heart. Even when times were hard and you could have gone the way of the world, you remained wholeheartedly faithful to Him. He will not forsake you now during this trial.

Thank you for always walking the walk not just talking the talk. God is and will continue to uphold you and the kids because of your faithfulness. I am blessed to call you my earthly sister and my sister is Christ.

We love you and Jim so much and are being blessed by the outpouring of love being expressed by those you have touched.

Sue I am so glad to see a post from you on here. One of your last statements is exactly what I was praying for your family this morning. To God be all the Glory given! I will specifically pray for you to see Jim's eyes again and for him to know you are there and will be there always.
Jim is such a special guy...i just keep replaying in my mind being about 10 years old in your kitchen and him singing Ali oop Ali oop and ali getting so tickled and he would just keep singing to get her going. I just keep telling Robert funny wonderful memories I have from being at your house as a little girl untill all hours of the night. I love you all and am praying continiously for Jim's recovery. I am also praying for a sense of strength and peace that can only come from our Father at this time.
Love,
Sara

Dear Maley family,
I cannot even begin to imagine what you each are feeling. I know that our Heavely Father has great plans for you all, as it has already been seen through the acceptance of eternal life from Kade. How beautiful a story to share with Jim and many other people down the road. It amazes me how the Father uses us even when we are not aware.
As I am reminded throughout the day of you all I look to the Father, and I think of a verse that you have exemlified through the many struggles that have been brought your way. The verse is Isaiah 26:3- You will keep in perfect peace him whose mind is steadfast, because he trusts in you.
God has brought you through so many difficult times, and He will carry each of you through this. What a blessing it is to know that the God we love and serve can do Awesome and Wonderful things as long as we continue to have faith. I will continue to lift you all in prayers each day. May God continue to shower you with blessings.

Love and Prayers,
Katie(Osborn)Horne

Sue,

Ann Geiger called me at home today to let me know about Jim. Please know that I am praying for him, you and your family.

I pray that you continue to keep your eyes on Christ through this difficult time. He will give you strength and comfort. I also pray that He will answer your request to see Jim's eyes again. The two of you have such an amazing love for each other and for Christ. You also have an amazing family and friends that will also get you through this.

Please let me know if there is anything you or your family need. I am not working now and home with the baby, so feel free to call me there.

Dear Maley family~

I don't know what to say but, I am praying for you. I've sit behind you in church many Sundays, watching your big happy family roll in. What a wonderful support system in this time.

My heart goes out to every one of you. I pray that God will choose Jim for a miracle, and I pray for each and every one of you as you wait. I pray that you can have rest and peace in your heart, as much as is possible, and then some.

Miss Sue,
I really don't know where to begin except to say that your family is in my prayers and I know God works in mysterious ways.
When my mom died, one of my prayers was to see her recognize me one last time and I was blessed with not only that but the miracle of her voice telling me that she loved me and many other wonderful things. It can happen and with prayer, anything can happen.
I think about you daily...hourly and pray for Mr. Jim with every chance I get. My dad, sister and brother are all praying also and send their love. Although we are in Georgia, we still have lots of willing-to-help family and friends in Ft. Wayne, so you just say the word and we will send out the troops for anything you need (anytime...even months from now and at 3am)

Dear Sue and Family:
How my heart aches for you. You just never know when your life will change forever. I know what a strong woman and family you are in the Lord and just put your trust in him. I pray that Jim will open his eyes for all of you. But one thing I am sure of, he does know how much he is loved. I know that Jesus can work miracles, and I pray that he will work one for Jim. You are and will continue to be in my thoughts and prayers. May God bless and strengthen you and your family.

Sue,

I've let Michele and Becky know about Jim. My prayers are with you.

I've added Jim to the prayer list at my church, Messiah Lutheran. We have a most POWERFUL bunch of pray-ers at Messiah. I really credit them with keeping my son, Sam, safe during 2 deployments to Baghdad.

I thank God you and your family have such a strong faith. It will truly see you through this hard time.

Deuteronomy 7:9
Know therefore that the LORD thy God, he is God, the faithful God, which keepeth covenant and mercy with them that love him and keep his commandments to a thousand generations;

Bless you and your family
